How to clear cache, cookies, history, forms and passwords in Mozilla Firefox

You should clear cache from time to time to allow Firefox to function more efficiently. Of course, if you are concerned about your privacy you should delete from time to time cookies, history, forms data and passwords. If you are having trouble accessing some web site, clearing cache might help.

Clearing cache in Firefox 1.5:

1. In “Tools” menu select “Options”

2. Select “Privacy” icon at the top

3. Select “Cache” tab

4. Click “Clear Cache Now” button

Clearing all privacy related data (cookies, history, auto complete and passwords):

1. In “Tools” menu select “Options”

2. Select “Privacy” icon at the top

3. Select “History” tab

4. Click “Clear Browsing History Now” button

6. Click “Clear Saved Forms Data Now” button

8. Click “View Saved Passwords” button

9. Click “Remove All” button and click “Close”

  1. When I tried to clear my cache, History, cookies, etc. I chose “Tools” “options” “Primary” but I don’t have the choice “History/Saved Forms/Passwords/downlaod history/cookies/cache”

  2. I’m using the latest version of firefox, how come it doesn’t have all those options to clear cache? How do I do it now?
