How to start Registry Editor in Windows

RegistryThe Registry is a system database where Windows operating system and other software keep their settings. Registry Editor is a program that edits that database.

This is how you start it.

How to start Registry editor:

1. Click “Start”

Click Start menu and select Run

2. Select “Run”

3. In “Open” box type “regedit” (without quotes)

Run regedit

4. Click “OK” button

  1. Alot of your Free Scan & Fixing Registry damages the computer operating system by deleting some files in system32 and other program files the moment they scan for Reg errors. Then they tell that they have fix one or two errors.
    In order to fix other errors you have to buy their software or alternative buy something which cost almost if not more than if you will simply pay these robbers.

    I believe Bysoft should not allow this bunch of advertisement to be advertise in their website. Simply because people will think Bysoft is also a scam.

    I\\\’ve trashed my computer 1 or 2x testing out bad registry software. Most of it is trash. Some of it however works wonders.

    my pc got infected with a SCVHOST.exe virus or something. i got an instruction to remove it and one step is to open the registry editor. the problem is.. i can\’t open the registry editor. i don\’t know what caused it whether the virus or an internal error. pls help. thanks.
